Job summary

Insight Global is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to support a Design Liaison Engineering team focused on annular Hot Gas Path components. This hands-on role analyzes, dispositions, and resolves hardware deviations on complex turbine components, partnering with global manufacturing and supply chain teams.

The engineer applies core mechanical engineering principles to improve manufacturability, quality, cost, and reliability, with opportunities for short-term issue resolution and long-term design

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited university or equivalent relevant experience.

• Strong ability to adapt to shifting priorities based on evolving business and manufacturing needs.

Job description

We are seeking a Mechanical Engineer to support a Design Liaison Engineering team focused on annular Hot Gas Path components. This role plays a critical part in supporting the global supply chain and manufacturing partners by analyzing, dispositioning, and resolving hardware deviations on complex turbine components. This is a hands-on, highly collaborative role where the engineer will apply core mechanical engineering principles to real-world manufacturing challenges involving advanced rotating machinery. The position supports both short-term hardware issue resolution and longer-term design improvements to enhance manufacturability, quality, cost, and reliability.

Required Skills & Experience

• Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited university or equivalent relevant experience.
• Ability to collaborate effectively in a cross-functional, global engineering organization.
• Strong ability to adapt to shifting priorities based on evolving business and manufacturing needs.
• Basic understanding of manufacturing processes, methods, materials, and coatings.
• Understanding of GD&T with the ability to interpret engineering drawings and bills of materials

Compensation:

$35/hr to $50/hr.

Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.
