Manpower, Inc. seeks a Mechanical Design Engineer for on-site work in Greenville, SC. The role sits in the Gas Turbine Engineering organization, providing design support for flow-path hardware including blades, stators, vanes and linkage assemblies.

The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with drawings, manufacturability, and solving manufacturing issues. You will collaborate across engineering, manufacturing and supply chain worldwide to reduce costs and improve component performance.

Qualifications

• Mechanical design experience with complex components and assemblies.
• Experience revising drawings with manufacturability in mind.
• Experience analyzing hardware deviations or non-conformances.
• Ability to conduct design reviews and assess risk at component, assembly and system levels.
• Gas turbine, turbomachinery or flow-path experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide design engineering support for gas turbine flow-path hardware (blades, stators, vanes, heat shields, VGAs and linkages).
• Analyze and disposition hardware deviations and prevent recurring manufacturing issues.
• Own hardware redesigns and revise drawings to improve manufacturability, quality and performance.
• Serve as focal point for new process qualifications, engineering changes and second-source supplier qualifications.
• Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, suppliers and global supply chain teams to reduce costs, scrap and non-conformances.

As a Mechanical Design Engineer, you will be part of the Gas Turbine Engineering organization supporting Design Liaison Engineering and global supply chain teams. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, effective cross-functional collaboration and excellent problem-solving abilities which will align successfully in the organization.

Pay Range: $59per hour

What's the Job?

• Provide design engineering support for gas turbine flow-path hardware, including blades, stators, vanes, heat shields, variable guide vanes and linkage assemblies.
• Analyze and disposition hardware deviations and develop engineering solutions to prevent recurring manufacturing issues.
• Own hardware redesign efforts and revise engineering drawings to improve manufacturability, quality and component performance.
• Serve as a technical focal point for new process qualifications, engineering changes and second-source supplier qualifications.
