Job description

Were redefining air power by building the largest UAV network and the most versatile aircraft systems in the world. Our team is moving quickly to launch the first aircraft designed for autonomous operations, alongside Command & Control software that enables fleets of autonomous assets to work together under human supervision.

The Role

As a Mechanical Engineer, you will lead the design, integration, and testing of structural and mechanical systems that make long-range aircraft possible. From early concept to flight test, you will ensure mechanical designs are optimized for performance, reliability, and manufacturability. This is a hands-on role where your work will directly shape next-generation autonomous aircraft.

What Youll Do
  • Lead the design, integration, and testing of aircraft mechanical systems, including flight controls, landing gear, fuel systems, and other subsystems
  • Create detailed CAD models, assemblies, and installation drawings
  • Apply design for manufacturability (DFM) principles to enable rapid scaling of mechanical systems
  • Collaborate with manufacturing teams to ensure designs are producible at scale
  • Oversee fabrication, assembly, and testing of mechanical subsystems
  • Conduct engineering analyses and document results
  • Support prototype build, integration, and flight testing, troubleshooting as needed
  • Continuously iterate on designs to improve performance, reliability, and ease of production
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelors degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering
  • 7+ years of mechanical design and integration experience
  • Proficiency in CAD tools (NX preferred)
  • Familiarity with PLM systems (Teamcenter or equivalent)
  • Strong knowledge of GD&T, drafting standards, and structural analysis fundamentals
  • Understanding of machining, sheet metal, and composite manufacturing processes
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in aerospace, defense, or UAV programs
  • Background in actuation systems, landing gear, fuel, or hydraulic systems
  • Exposure to additive manufacturing methods
  • Experience managing full lifecycle from concept through production
