Mechanical Design Engineer

M/E Engineering is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer for our Buffalo, NY office. We are a full-service MEP engineering firm providing design and technology services to our clients. Our team of nearly 200 engineers and design professionals works to create built environments that support a sustainable future for the communities we serve. Responsibilities

1. Perform assignments designed to develop skills of the Project Engineer/Design Engineer.
2. Utilize engineering principles and standard designs to develop project designs and layouts.
3. Collaborate with Senior Engineer, Project Engineer, Group Manager, Partner, Associate, and Principal.
4. Independently perform assignments after receiving instructions on expected results.
5. Seek guidance on unusual problems and obtain supervisory approval for developed plans.
6. Assist in the preparation of contract documents.
7. Plan, schedule, and conduct all phases of work for projects of moderate scope.
8. Perform conventional engineering work including standard designs.
9. Make engineering calculations.
10. Develop elementary designs based on detailed schematic sketches.
11. Coordinate production and collaboration with Senior Engineer/Designer or Project Engineer/Designer.
12. Perform other related duties as assigned.

Education and Experience

• Associate degree, Bachelor of Science, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• CAD (Revit) experience preferred.

Compensation Range

The compensation range for this position is $62,400 to $72,500 per year.
