Job summary

Actalent in Bridgeton, MO, seeks a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to design, develop, and integrate mechanical components for complex hardware systems. You will create 3D CAD models using Creo and generate engineering drawings with GD&T.

You will apply ASME Y14.5/100 standards, optimize designs for CNC, sheet metal, and welding, and support hardware through build, test, and production, performing root cause analysis and engineering changes.

Qualifications

• Experience in mechanical design engineering.
• Proficiency in GD&T and mechanical hardware development.
• Experience with Creo Parametric for 3D modeling.
• Ability to create and interpret mechanical drawings.
• Knowledge of ASME Y14.5 and ASME Y14.100 standards.
• Experience with Windchill / PLM.
• Understanding of ECOs and configuration management.

Job Title: Senior Mechanical Design EngineerJob Description

The Senior Mechanical Design Engineer will design, develop, and integrate mechanical components and assemblies for complex hardware systems. This role involves creating 3D CAD models and engineering drawings using Creo, applying GD&T, and developing designs optimized for various manufacturing processes. The engineer will also support hardware through build, test, and production by troubleshooting mechanical issues, implementing engineering changes, and performing root cause and corrective action.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and integrate mechanical components and assemblies for complex hardware systems.
• Create 3D CAD models and engineering drawings using Creo software.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Bridgeton, MO.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $52.00 - $55.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
