Overview

Mechanical Design Engineer
Join a close-knit, family-owned company with decades of experience designing and building custom industrial equipment. We’re looking for a Mechanical Design Engineer who enjoys hands-on engineering, problem-solving, and being part of a collaborative team. In this role, you'll design mechanical assemblies, automation systems, and components for precision manufacturing machines.

Responsibilities
  • Design mechanical components, tooling, and sub-systems for precision drilling and automation equipment

  • Perform mechanical analysis (bearings, drive systems, torque, structural integrity)

  • Develop AutoCAD drawings for assemblies, installations, and schematics

  • Design hydraulic and pneumatic systems

  • Specify purchased components and create BOMs for manufacturing

  • Interface with customers, suppliers, and internal teams (fabrication, machining, assembly)

  • Prepare documentation including O&M manuals and layout revisions

Qualifications
  • BS in Mechanical Engineering or related field

  • 2–5 years’ experience in industrial or manufacturing equipment design

  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and strong mechanical drafting skills

  • Solid understanding of mechanical systems and component selection

  • Strong communication skills and hands-on mindset
