Job summary

TPI Global Solutions in Atlanta is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to join our team for a 14+ month project supporting a mobile UCI production rollout. This role blends CAD design with hands‑on manufacturing and machining experience, with a startup/rapid development mindset.

Based in the Atlanta area, this hybrid position requires 2+ years of CAD experience using Fusion 360 or SolidWorks, a mechanical/aerospace degree or equivalent hands-on background, and willingness to travel locally.

Qualifications

• CAD proficiency with Fusion 360 or SolidWorks.
• Ability to create/interpret drawings and apply tolerancing.
• Bachelor’s in Mechanical/Aerospace Engineering or equivalent with 2+ years experience, or 5+ years hands-on mechanical engineering/machining experience.

Job Summary

We are looking for a Mechanical Engineer to join our team in the Atlanta area to support our Mobile UCI production rollout. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with a mix of CAD design expertise and practical, hands‑on manufacturing/machining experience!

What We’re Looking For:

• CAD Proficiency: Strong experience with Autodesk Fusion 360, SolidWorks, or similar tools.
• Technical Foundation: Ability to create/interpret technical drawings and apply proper tolerancing practices.
• Communication: Clear written and verbal communication skills to document industrial processes effectively.
• Background: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical/Aerospace Engineering (2+ yrs exp), relevant technical certifications, or 5+ years of hands‑on mechanical engineering/machining experience.

Location & Logistics:

• Based in or near Atlanta, GA (hybrid model: 3–4 days/week on‑site, up to 5 days during peak production).
• Occasional travel to local assembly locations (such as Marietta) as needed.

NOTE:

Looking for candidates that are more involved with the design and concepts as well as being more hands‑on in the new product development arena. Not looking for someone who have more of a history of taking existing design and applying it as a small part of a process rather than part of the whole process. Looking for a ME that has been at a startup or product development org for a few years and is ready to move to something else and participate in the concept, design, readying for production, value engineering to reduce cost, solving issues for an enclosure that has lots (hundreds) of pieces.
