The role requires 2+ years of drafting experience, proficiency in AutoCAD/SolidWorks/Inventor, and strong attention to detail.

Qualifications

• National Diploma or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering Technology or a related field.
• 2+ years of experience as a Mechanical Drafter or Designer.
• Proficiency in CAD software such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or Inventor.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Create detailed 2D and 3D drawings, schematics, and layouts for mechanical components using CAD.
• Update and revise existing drawings based on engineering changes or feedback from manufacturing.
• Ensure drawings comply with company standards, industry regulations, and project requirements.
• Prepare BOMs and other documentation for procurement and production.
• Collaborate with engineers and production personnel to clarify design intent and resolve drafting issues.

This role involves translating engineering concepts and designs into precise technical drawings and documentation required for manufacturing and assembly. You will work closely with mechanical engineers, ensuring all drawings adhere to industry standards and project specifications. The ideal candidate has a keen eye for detail, proficiency in CAD software, and a commitment to producing high-quality technical documentation that facilitates efficient production and assembly.

Key Responsibilities

• Create detailed 2D and 3D drawings, schematics, and layouts for mechanical components and assemblies using CAD software.
