Collins Aerospace is seeking a Mechanical Checker in a hybrid role in Cedar Rapids to validate engineering drawings and mechanical designs. You will review models, drawings and documentation, ensure compliance with standards, and support release into enterprise systems.

Ideal candidates have 6+ years of experience with 3D CAD (SolidWorks/NX), GD&T knowledge, and experience with Enovia and PDF editing. This role demands meticulous attention to detail and collaboration across engineering teams.

Qualifications

• Typically requires an AA/AS degree with a minimum of 6 years of relevant experience.
• The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required.
• Experience using 3D CAD Design (SolidWorks or NX) and understanding of GD&T.

Responsibilities

• Performs preparation of records for the release of design data into the company systems.
• Provides design documentation checking for revisions to existing designs and drawings.
• Reviews engineering models and drawings for compliance with standards and producibility.
• Coordinates with engineering and detailers for clarifications on changes.
• Ensures materials, finishes, and processes meet specifications during the check process.
