Job summary

Foundation EGI, an MIT-born venture-backed Silicon Valley startup, seeks an Individual Contributor for the Data Studio team to transform raw customer data into structured, high‑fidelity datasets powering model training, evaluation, and delivery; apply mechanical engineering expertise to create data pipelines, labeled datasets, and ground-truth CAD references.

Qualifications

• Strong domain expertise in mechanical engineering, manufacturing design, or industrial workflows.
• Hands-on experience with CAD tools (SolidWorks, CATIA, Siemens NX, Creo).
• Familiarity with annotation tools and illustration software (Creo Illustrate, Adobe Illustrator, Arbortext).
• Ability to interpret complex mechanical assemblies, drawings, GD&T and engineering docs.
• Experience creating exploded views, work-step sequences, manuals, or manufacturing instructions.
• Strong problem-solving and ability to translate workflows into data requirements.
• Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Data Creation, Processing & Quality: Ingest, clean, transform, and structure data for AI training and inference.
• Workflow & Tooling Contributions: Shape tooling for annotation, data correction, and pipeline automation.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with engineering, research, and product teams to define data needs and standards.
• Domain Expertise & Reference Content Creation: Generate exploded views, sequences, and annotations to encode engineering reasoning.
• Customer & Project Support: Guide customers in data preparation, schemas, and data pipelines.
