Mechanical Construction Quality Assurance Representative

Job Overview

MBP is seeking experienced team members in the Washington/Baltimore DC metropolitan area with 10+ years of education and/or experience in construction quality management related to Mechanical, Plumbing, and related systems. Candidates with experience in healthcare, laboratory, education, and government projects are preferred. Knowledge of SCIFs and data centers is a plus.

Main Duties
  1. Represent the client on-site, ensuring quality assurance, documentation, cost control, and schedule adherence.
  2. Conduct field checks of as-built plans and perform compliance inspections.
  3. Coordinate QA/QC activities, verify work conformance, and manage deficiencies.
  4. Communicate effectively with all stakeholders, participate in inspections, and prepare reports.
  5. Review project records, participate in meetings, and assist in documentation.
  6. Inspect all work phases, reject non-compliant work, and review submittals.
  7. Provide excellent customer service and maintain safety standards.
Additional Responsibilities
  • Support claims avoidance, adapt construction practices, and support analytical tasks.
  • Obtain and maintain necessary certifications, participate in company activities.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED plus 10+ years of related experience; higher education preferred.
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, architecture, or related field is advantageous.
  • OSHA 30-hour certification required within 3 months of hire.
  • Knowledge of construction codes, materials, and methods; certifications like CQM, CCM are preferred.
Skills & Abilities
  • Expertise in QA/QC techniques, independent work ability, and effective communication.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, plan reading, and mathematical applications.
  • Physical ability to work on-site, including climbing and outdoor work.
Additional Requirements
  • Background check and references required.
Employment Details

Full-time, salary: $95,000 - $120,000/year, with benefits including health coverage, 401(k), bonuses, and professional development.
