Job summary

Hyundai Engineering America is seeking a detail-oriented Mechanical Construction Engineer to support on-site construction activities. You will manage schedules, review drawings, track materials, and ensure safety and compliance across projects.

You will coordinate with the site team, clients, and subcontractors, provide data updates and reporting to the Mechanical Manager, and help maintain documentation consistency throughout project execution.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field (Firefighting Engineering acceptable).
• 3+ years of construction experience preferred.
• Bilingual in English and Korean is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage and maintain construction projects safely and on schedule.
• Track materials, equipment, deliveries, and inventory.
• Coordinate with site team to ensure on-time materials and docs.
• Coordinate inspections with AHJ.
• Communicate with clients and subcontractors on documentation and material issues.
• Support Mechanical Manager with data updates and reporting.

Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Mechanical Construction Engineer to join our project. The candidate will be responsible for maintaining and managing mechanical construction activities, coordinating schedules, reviewing design drawings, and ensuring safety on-site. This position requires a strong technical understanding of mechanical systems, effective document control, and communication skills between internal teams, subcontractors, and clients.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and maintain construction projects in a safe, timely, and sustainable manner
  
• Manage materials and equipment tracking, including order status, delivery schedules, and inventory control
• Coordinate with the site team to ensure that required materials and documentation are available on time
• Coordinate inspection with AHJ
• Communicate with clients and subcontractors to clarify documentation and material-related issues
• Provide administrative and technical support to the Mechanical Manager, including data updates and reporting

Qualifications

• Proficiency in basic mechanical construction knowledge
  
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage with clients, such as coordination, problem-solving, and teamwork skills
  
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office experience (Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint) and Auto CAD

Preferred

• Over 3 years of experience with a construction company or equivalent field
• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field (Firefighting Engineering is acceptable)
• Bilingual in English and Korean is highly preferred for better coordination with the team

Additional Information

• Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S.
• Weekend work may be required depending on the project schedule
