Hargrove and Associates, Inc. is seeking a construction coordinator to oversee coordination for small to moderate construction projects.
Under general supervision, you will ensure contractor activities are planned and executed safely and efficiently while coordinating daily field tasks and logistics with the contractor. Ideal candidates will have a minimum of five years in industrial construction coordination and administration, with strong communication, organizational, and safety skills.
Job Summary: Generally responsible for performing construction coordination for small to moderate construction assignments. This work will be performed under general supervision. Primary responsibilities will include but are not limited to: Knowledge and application of company standards. Extensive knowledge of construction safety requirements, with a commitment to a zero accidents environment. Ability to ensure contractor’s activities are planned and executed in a safe and efficient manner. Working closely with the construction contractor to plan and coordinate daily field and construction tasks and logistical activities. Serve as the “first line” coordinator for all contractor activities. Monitoring contractor performance against contract milestones and completion dates as well as performance as it relates to the other activities on‑site to identify conflicts or potential delays. Developing work‑around plans to mitigate conflicts or delays in concert with other construction coordinators. High School Diploma or equivalent is required. Bachelor or Master of Science degree in Construction Science, Building Science or related field from an accredited university is preferred.
No licensing is required for this position.
This position requires a minimum 5 years of relevant industrial construction coordination and administration experience.
Ability to sit, stand, or walk for long periods of time. Ability to perform work outdoors in hot or cold climates. Ability to perform duties while wearing personal protective equipment such as a fire-retardant jumpsuit, safety glasses, ear plugs, and hard hat.
