Job summary

EPC Project Management Consulting, LLC is seeking an experienced Mechanical Construction Manager/Commissioning Manager to lead the mechanical construction scope on hyperscale data center developments across the United States.

You will oversee HVAC, chilled water, piping, and related systems, coordinating with owners, GCs, engineers, and commissioning teams to ensure safety, schedule, and budget adherence throughout the project lifecycle.

Qualifications

  • 8+ years of mechanical construction management experience on large commercial, industrial, mission-critical, pharmaceutical, semiconductor, or data center projects.
  • Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, chilled water plants, mechanical piping, plumbing, and critical mechanical infrastructure.
  • Experience managing mechanical subcontractors and coordinating multi-trade construction activities.
  • Ability to interpret construction drawings, specifications, and BIM coordination models.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience delivering fast-track or mission-critical construction projects is highly desirable.
  • Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management, or related field (or equivalent industry experience).

Responsibilities

  • Lead all on-site mechanical construction activities from pre-construction through project completion.
  • Manage mechanical subcontractors responsible for HVAC, chilled water, piping, plumbing, and associated mechanical systems.
  • Coordinate with project management, engineering, electrical, civil, structural, and commissioning teams to ensure seamless project execution.
  • Monitor construction schedules and proactively identify and mitigate risks to maintain critical project milestones.
  • Review mechanical drawings, specifications, RFIs, submittals, and shop drawings to ensure compliance with project requirements.
  • Oversee installation quality and ensure all mechanical systems meet design intent, project specifications, and client standards.
  • Drive field coordination between multiple trades to resolve clashes and improve construction efficiency.
  • Maintain a strong focus on safety, ensuring compliance with all site-specific and client safety requirements.
  • Support system startup, turnover, commissioning activities, and final project closeout.

Overview

EPC Project Management Consulting supports the delivery of large-scale, mission-critical data center projects across the U.S. We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Construction Manager/Commissioning Manager to lead the mechanical construction scope on high-profile hyperscale data center developments.

This role is responsible for managing all mechanical construction activities throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring work is delivered safely, on schedule, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. You'll work closely with owners, general contractors, trade partners, engineers, and project teams to successfully deliver critical infrastructure projects.

Key Responsibilities
