Job summary

Procon seeks a Mechanical Commissioning Agent to lead commissioning across design through warranty for government, education, and commercial facilities. You will drive test plans, validate BAS/SCADA controls, and coordinate with owners, architects, and engineers while traveling as needed across the U.S.

The ideal candidate has a BS in mechanical engineering or equivalent, with commissioning experience or HVAC design background, and a PE/CxA certification is a plus.

Qualifications

• BS in mechanical engineering or 5 years commissioning experience or 10 years HVAC design.
• US Citizenship required.
• PE license or CxA certification desirable.
• In-depth Building Automation System experience is a definite plus.
• Up to 25% travel; DC/MD/NoVA area preferred; relocation not available.
• EIT certification preferred; PE licensure pursued encouraged.

Responsibilities

• Lead commissioning across design through construction and warranty.
• Develop Pre-Functional Checklists and Functional Performance Tests.
• Perform site observations and witness startups with field reports.
• Coordinate equipment startups and testing reports.
• Track and resolve commissioning issues with O&M teams.
• Educate Operations & Maintenance personnel on system performance.
• Maintain documentation, schedules, and commissioning plans.
