Job summary

Vertiv Corporation is seeking a Mechanical Commissioning Engineer to lead commissioning procedures for mechanical systems in data centers and critical facilities. You will manage projects, supervise other engineers, and drive commissioning from design through acceptance with minimal supervision.

The role requires hands-on expertise in chilled water, air distribution, AC systems, building controls, and a focus on safety, schedule adherence, and client communication.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering required OR applicable commissioning training with 2+ years experience.
• At least 5 commissioning projects including Design, Construction and Acceptance phases; or 8+ with only a high school diploma.
• Strong knowledge of ASHRAE standards and commissioning practices is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform all aspects of commissioning of mechanical systems including chilled water systems, air distribution systems, AC systems, and building controls system.
• Develop commissioning forms, specifications, and plans.
• Perform commissioning design reviews and submittal reviews.
• Understand contract documents and sequence of operation.
• Develop and execute pre-functional, functional, and integrated systems commissioning scripts.
• Track and report commissioning issues and assemble final commissioning reports.
• Maintain strong client relationships and provide project management insights.
