Job summary

Steico Industries, Inc. in Oceanside, CA is seeking a Mechanical Clean Operator. No experience is required; you will be trained on the job. The AM shift runs Monday–Thursday, 5:00 AM–3:30 PM, with pay ranging from $17.00 to $18.00 per hour depending on experience.

You will manually polish tube assemblies, inspect for imperfections, and perform aqueous cleaning using buffers and bench grinders. Training emphasizes safety, quality, and process compliance while you learn.

Qualifications

• No experience is required; on-the-job training will be provided.
• Basic fabrication experience in metal or wood is a plus, but not required.
• High school diploma or GED is required.

As a Mechanical Clean Operator, you will:

The mechanical clean position is responsible for manually polishing tube assemblies in preparation for Penetrant Inspection and Anodize using shop tools that meet the customer and STEICO drawings/specifications created within the documented manufacturing processes provided by STEICO.

What will my responsibilities include?

• Assess parts to be polished for imperfection.
• Polish parts using manual tools such as buffer and bench grinders.
• Aqueous clean parts after they have been polished.
• Measuring of wall thickness for compliance using calibrated tools.
• Communicate with lead any issues or delays.
• Follow company policies and procedures.
• Other reasonable duties as business and operational needs dictate.

Qualifications:

• No experience necessary will train on the job, however any type of metal or wood fabricating is a plus.
