Job summary

JADCO Manufacturing, Inc. in Harmony Township, PA, seeks a Mechanical Drafter to create fabrication and erection drawings in AutoCAD and SolidWorks, supporting the company’s wear- and abrasion-resistant steel products.

You will work across departments to develop BOMs, refine designs, and ensure accuracy while advancing quality, cost efficiency, and performance. Associate degree in CAD and 1–3 years of CAD experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in CAD or related field required.
• 1–3 years CAD design experience, preferably in a steel service center.
• Solid understanding of drafting techniques.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office.
• Familiarity with reverse engineering and measuring tools preferred.
• Experience with 3D scanning and Geomagic Design X a plus.
• Strong communication skills.
• Ability to prioritize multiple projects with attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Complete design specifications by consulting vendors.
• Complete projects from conception to final completion with minimal supervision.
• Develop, prepare, and maintain Bills of Materials for each product being manufactured, including job specific Bills of Materials for custom products.
• Utilize structural concepts and practices, drafting standards, symbols, and engineering terms.
• Suggest changes in design, materials, method of manufacture and assembly, and drafting techniques to improve product quality, cost, and performance.
• Work with other departments within company to ensure drawings convey the correct information and for problem resolution and continuous improvement.
