Job summary

Top Prospect Group in Conway, SC is seeking a Mechanical CAD Designer to support sustaining engineering and plant layout. You will update old equipment drawings, reverse-engineer obsolete parts, and design brackets and guards.

You will manage facility building drawings, organize layouts into layers, and modernize drafting by converting legacy files to 3D and 2D production drawings. Strong SolidWorks and AutoCAD skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering required.
• 2–4 years of mechanical drafting or plant layout experience in heavy manufacturing.
• Proficient with SolidWorks and AutoCAD 2D; experience reverse-engineering parts.

Responsibilities

• Design brackets, guards, mounts and fixtures to improve safety and efficiency.
• Update master facility drawings and segregate layouts into clear layers.
• Convert legacy drawings into parametric 3D models and standardized 2D drawings.
• Ensure GD&T accuracy and maintain version-controlled engineering files.
