Job summary

Qualifications

• A degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in mechanical CAD design, preferably in the manufacturing industry.
• Proficiency in SolidWorks and AutoCAD, including 2D drafting and 3D modeling.
• Experience in machine design, plant layout, and heavy manufacturing.
• Knowledge of steel and sheet metal fabrication; strong communication and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Designing and drafting detailed mechanical components and assemblies using CAD software such as SolidWorks and AutoCAD.
• Developing and optimizing machine designs and plant layouts for heavy manufacturing processes.
• Working closely with engineers and other team members to create and modify designs based on project requirements.
• Utilizing expertise in sheet metal fabrication, machining, and welding to ensure designs are practical, cost-effective, and meet all necessary specifications and regulations.
• Producing accurate and detailed 2D and 3D models, assembly drawings, and bill of materials.
• Participating in design reviews and providing technical input to improve product quality and efficiency.
• Assisting in troubleshooting and resolving design-related issues during the manufacturing process.
• Continuously staying updated with the latest industry trends, technologies, and CAD tools to enhance design efficiency and effectiveness.
