Job summary

RTX in McKinney, Texas, seeks an undergraduate or graduate student to join as an intern/co‑op in production automation. You will collaborate with cross‑functional teams to design and build automation for Raytheon products, define requirements with engineers, and engage vendors for quotes and testing.

Qualifications include pursuing a STEM degree (mechanical or aerospace preferred), at least 60 credits by start date, and experience with 3D CAD modeling, preferably CREO.

Qualifications

What You Will Do

• Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain production automation cells.

Qualifications You Must Have

• Must be pursuing Bachelor’s or Advanced degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering or related (STEM) major and actively enrolled through the completion of the internship/co‑op session.
• Must have a minimum of 60 hours of credit by the start of the internship / co‑op session.
• Experience with 3D CAD modeling.
• Experience may be obtained through on-the-job experience, research, coursework, or projects

Qualifications We Prefer

• Experience utilizing CAD (Computer Aided Design) tools such as CREO.
• 3.0 cumulative GPA
• Interpret engineering drawings and understanding of GD&T.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Windows, Excel and Word.

The salary range for this role is 37,000 USD - 82,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
