Job summary

CarMax is seeking a Mechanical Associate to inspect, diagnose, repair, and recondition vehicles to meet safety and quality standards. You’ll work with a skilled team in a climate-controlled facility, gaining hands-on experience with both domestic and foreign vehicles while adhering to EH&S guidelines.

We offer a sign-on bonus up to $10,000 based on experience, ongoing training, and opportunities for growth within a leading national used-car retailer.

Qualifications

• Experience in engine repair and systems such as steering, suspension, brakes, and HVAC.
• Strong health and safety compliance knowledge.
• Able to lift heavy objects and stand for long periods.
• Capable of multitasking in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent communication and attention to detail.
• Maintains ASE certifications as required by state law.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, diagnose, and repair vehicles to meet CarMax quality standards.
• Collaborate with team to solve technical challenges quickly.
