Job summary

CarMax is seeking a Mechanical Associate at our West Point, VA facility to inspect, diagnose, repair, and recondition vehicles to CarMax standards. You’ll work in a modern, climate-controlled environment with a focus on safety and quality.

You will gain hands-on experience across domestic and foreign models while contributing to customer satisfaction and trust. Ongoing training and a collaborative team culture are offered.

Qualifications

• Experience in engine repair, steering and suspension, brakes, and HVAC systems.
• Strong understanding of health and safety compliance.
• Ability to lift heavy objects and work on your feet for extended periods.
• Skilled at managing multiple tasks in a fast-paced setting.
• Excellent communication skills and attention to detail.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Maintain ASE Certifications where required by state/local law.
