TEKsystems is seeking Mechanical Assembly Technicians for a contract position in Manassas, VA. You’ll join a team installing large mechanical and structural assemblies in a hyperscale data center environment, working with experienced technicians and crew leads.

The role emphasizes hands-on installation, tool use, safety, and following drawings. Candidates from construction, manufacturing, or military technical backgrounds are encouraged to apply; OSHA 10 is preferred.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of experience in construction, manufacturing, industrial maintenance, mechanical assembly, or military technical environment.
• Experience safely using hand and power tools.
• Ability to follow drawings and written work instructions.
• Comfortable performing physical, hands-on installation work.
• Ability to work at height using scissor lifts and other aerial platforms.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
• Strong focus on safety, quality, and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Stage materials, hardware, and equipment ahead of installation.
• Assist with structural support frame installation.
• Assist with concrete anchors, module placement, alignment, and bolting.
• Install containment panels, filler panels, trays, and doors.
• Safely operate hand and power tools.
• Operate scissor lifts after required training/qualification.
• Follow drawings, installation instructions, and direction from lead technicians.
• Maintain clean and organized work areas.
• Participate in daily pre-task planning and safety activities.

About The Opportunity

We are looking for motivated Mechanical Assembly Technicians interested in building their experience within a large-scale hyperscale data center environment.

This is a great opportunity for candidates coming from construction, manufacturing, industrial maintenance, mechanical assembly, skilled trades, or military technical backgrounds who want exposure to mission-critical data center infrastructure.

You will work alongside experienced technicians and crew leads to install large mechanical and structural assemblies supporting the continued build-out of a hyperscale data center campus.

What You'll Do

Job Type & Location

Pay And Benefits

The pay range for this position is $38.00 - $38.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
