Title: Mechanical & Electrical Assembly Technician
Location: Ewing, NJ (onsite, Mon-Fri, 7 am-3:30 pm)
Essential Skills & Requirements
- Combination of Electrical & Mechanical Experience – Must have hands-on experience with both electrical components (wiring, soldering) and mechanical assembly (tools, metalwork).
- Machining & Fabrication Knowledge – Experience with grinding, stud welding, and machining is required.
- Physical Capability – Ability to lift and maneuver 40-50 lbs. regularly in an industrial environment.
- Blueprint & Schematic Reading – Must be able to read and follow technical schematics, wiring diagrams, and mechanical drawings.
- Hand & Power Tool Proficiency – Comfortable using grinders, drills, torque wrenches, soldering irons, and other fabrication tools.
- Quality & Safety Awareness – Adheres to safety protocols, performs quality checks, and ensures compliance with assembly standards.
Responsibilities
- Assemble and integrate electrical and mechanical components according to engineering specifications.
- Perform soldering, wiring, and troubleshooting of electrical assemblies and connections.
- Use machining tools (grinders, stud welders, drills, etc.) to fabricate or modify components as needed.
- Conduct quality inspections and tests on assembled parts to ensure accuracy and functionality.
- Follow safety procedures and maintain a clean work environment in compliance with OSHA standards.
- Interpret blueprints, schematics, and wiring diagrams to correctly assemble parts and troubleshoot issues.
- Lift, move, and position materials and components as needed for assembly.
Preferred Experience
- Experience in electro-mechanical assembly, industrial maintenance, HVAC, or fabrication.
- Background in manufacturing, production, or mechanical/electrical repair roles.
- Familiarity with precision measuring tools (calipers, micrometers) and diagnostic equipment.
