Job summary

Siemens in Wendell, NC is seeking Mechanical Assemblers for the 2nd shift (3:00 PM – 11:30 PM). The starting hourly rate is $19.00 plus a $1.50 shift differential, with training on the 1st shift prior to transition.

You will perform sub-assembly and final wiring, handle large power cables and panels, use torque wrenches, record production data, read BOMs, and follow wiring layouts and assembly documents to ensure quality and safety.

Qualifications

• Ability to lift parts weighing up to 50 pounds.
• Basic proficiency in reading, writing and verbal English.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without current or future employer sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Perform sub-assembly and final wiring with high accuracy per layouts and drawings.
• Work with power cables and panels, ensuring correct crimping per BOMs.
• Set up and use torque wrenches and apply specified torque values.
• Accurately record job transactions and production data, read BOMs and work instructions.
• Operate standard hand, power, pneumatic, and battery-driven tools safely.

**We are looking for Mechanical Assemblers to join our Production Team on the 2nd shift. These positions will be based at our Wendell, NC facility.**

**Shift Hours:** 3:00 PM – 11:30 PM

**Hourly Rate:** $19.00 + $1.50 Shift Differential

**Note** : Training will begin on 1st shift prior to transitioning to 2nd shift, with an additional $1.50 shift differential for 2nd shift.

**Basic Qualifications

• + Ability to occasionally lift parts or sub‑assemblies weighing up to 50 pounds.
• + Basic proficiency in English, including the ability to read, write, and communicate verbally.
• + Must be legally authorized to work in the United States on a continuous basis without the need for current or future employer‑sponsored work authorization.

**Preferred Qualifications

• + Possess some knowledge on electrical clearances
• + Associates Degree or technical training in area of responsibility
• + Proven record in Quality and Productivity

**You’ll make a difference by:

• + Perform sub‑assembly and final assembly wiring with high accuracy and workmanship, including proper stripping, crimping, and assembly of mechanical and electrical components per layouts and drawings
• + Work with large power cables and panels, ensuring correct crimping methods and assembly according to BOMs, layouts, and assembly drawings
• + Set up and properly use torque wrenches, apply specified torque values, and follow established processes while identifying opportunities for improvement
• + Accurately record job transactions and production data, read BOMs, and follow work instructions and assembly documentation
• + Demonstrate willingness to learn and safely operate standard hand, power, pneumatic, and battery‑operated tools, as well as measuring tools such as tape measures and other standard devices
• + Develop the ability to identify common mechanical parts and basic electrical components while assembling sub‑assemblies, parts kits, and aftermarket orders
• + Adhere to Environmental and Occupational Health & Safety policies, support continuous improvement efforts, work effectively as a team player, and perform other duties as assigned by Supervisor or Management
