Job summary

Siemens is seeking a Mechanical Assembler Level I for the GIS Production Team on the 1st Shift in Wendell, NC. You will build and assemble Low and Medium Voltage equipment such as switchgear, switchboards and breakers, following BOMs and assembly drawings.

This role requires the ability to lift up to 50 pounds and operate standard hand and power tools safely. The position offers hours from 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM with an hourly rate of $19.00.

Qualifications

• Ability to lift parts or sub-assemblies weighing up to 50 pounds.
• Basic proficiency in English reading, writing and verbal communication.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without employer sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Assemble low and medium voltage equipment according to BOMs and drawings.
• Safely operate hand and power tools including torque wrenches.
• Record transactions and read layout/assembly drawings.
• Maintain clean, organized workstation and follow safety policies.
• Collaborate with team to meet production targets.
