Job summary

PICA Product Development in New Hampshire is seeking a Mechanical Assembler to join our manufacturing team. You will assemble mechanical and electro-mechanical products using engineering drawings, BOMs, and work instructions, ensuring high-quality workmanship.

The role requires reading drawings, using hand and power tools, and maintaining organized, safety-compliant workstations in a fast-paced environment. Prior assembly experience and the ability to lift up to 35 pounds are preferred.

Qualifications

• Ability to read and interpret assembly drawings and work instructions.
• Comfortable using common hand and power tools.
• Strong manual dexterity and attention to detail.

• Basic computer skills for production documentation.

Responsibilities

• Assemble mechanical and electro-mechanical products per drawings and BOMs.
• Install hardware such as screws, standoffs, rivets, brackets, and clamps.
• Perform box-build and chassis assemblies; final product integration.
• Route and secure wire harnesses and cables per workmanship standards.
• Use hand and power tools safely and effectively.
• Verify materials against BOMs prior to assembly.
• Conduct visual inspections to meet IPC quality standards.
• Identify shortages, drawing discrepancies, and quality concerns.
• Complete production documentation accurately and timely.
• Maintain organized 5S and ESD-compliant workstations.
• Assist with rework, repairs, and prototype builds as needed.
• Cross-train in other manufacturing operations to support demand.
• Follow all safety policies and procedures.
