Job summary

Collins Aerospace, an RTX company, is hiring for an onsite assembly role in Simpsonville, SC. You will plan and perform mechanical or electro‑mechanical assembly, testing, fabrication, and inspection across multiple products.

Requirements include at least 4 years in manufacturing, a high school diploma or technical education, and experience with small hand tools. You will lead junior assemblers and help meet daily production goals while maintaining quality standards.

What You Will Do
  • Plan and perform a variety of mechanical or electro-mechanical assembly, testing, fabrication, and inspection operations on various products.
  • Maintain hourly production to meet daily plans and ensure operators follow standard work procedures.
  • Determine methods and sequence of assembly operations using production sheets, wire lists, samples, blueprints, schematics, and verbal instructions.
  • Utilize small hand tools such as soldering irons, wire strippers, crimpers, wrenches, screwdrivers, pliers, and hammers.
  • Identify and select components for integration into sub-assembly and assembly units.
  • Perform set‑ups, alignments, and adjustments while maintaining tolerances as per instructions.
  • Disassemble, modify, rework, refurbish, reassemble, and test units as required.
  • Provide work leadership to lower-level assemblers by assigning tasks, reviewing progress, and monitoring results.
  • Facilitate and oversee meetings to communicate production goals, address challenges, and recognize achievements.
Qualifications You Must Have
