Role and shift

We are looking for a Mechanical Assembler III to join our Prefab team on the 3rd Shift. This position will be based in Wendell, NC.

Shift Hours: 11:00 PM - 7:30 AM

Hourly Rate: $22.46 + $1.50 Shift Differential

Please Note: You will train on the 1st shift for a period of time, at the manager’s discretion, before moving over to the 3rd shift.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications

  • Have the ability to read blueprints, technical drawings, and identify mechanical parts and electrical components.
  • Extensive experience using hand and power tools (pneumatic & battery-operated), torque wrenches, and measuring devices like tape measures.
  • Ability to lift parts or sub-assemblies up to 50 lbs. occasionally.
  • Must be proficient in English (read, write, speak) with a strong background in quality and efficiency.
  • Applicants must be legally authorized for employment within the United States without the need for current or future employer-sponsored work authorization.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 1+ years of experience in mechanical assembly or a related mechanical field.
  • Experience with CNC machines
  • High School Diploma or equivalent experience
  • Forklift driver experience
  • SAP experience
You’ll make an impact by
  • Assemble and wire LV MCC breakers, structures, sub-assemblies, parts kits, and aftermarket parts orders; punch and bend copper on EHRT punch machines as a Mechanical Assembler III.
  • Perform sub-assembly tasks, including mechanical assembly, control wiring, power cable work, and interconnection of control wires.
  • Read and follow BOMs, layouts, assembly drawings, and wiring instructions as needed.
  • Use tools appropriately, including setting and using torque wrenches accurately.
  • Maintain safety standards, adhering to all safety rules and prioritizing safety for self and others; adhere to Environmental and Occupational Health and Safety policies, striving for continuous improvement.
  • Support process improvement by following established methods and seeking ways to improve efficiency, while completing additional tasks as assigned.
