Job Description:
Position Summary:
In a team-based, manufacturing environment, the Mechanical Assembler performs assembly of mechanical systems and integration into our proprietary equipment including the Wave Soldering, Reflow Soldering and Cleaning product lines that are manufactured at our Camdenton, MO site.
The primary function of this role is to perform repetitive mechanical assembly at acceptable quality and quantity levels in accordance with work instructions, engineering specifications, operations sheets, and/or verbal instructions. You will provide maintenance and housekeeping duties in assigned work area and complete other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
Minimum 4 years of previous assembly experience OR related mechanical work experience required. Demonstrated experience and ability of assembly inspection, testing of assemblies, and performing verification and quality checks.
Demonstrated ability to fit, adjust, calibrate, and align assemblies to close tolerances (exact measurement). Minimum 3 years’ experience working with pneumatics and flow control systems. Minimum 2 years’ experience training others on assembly processes. Previous experience using basic test equipment.
Experience performing safety checks on manufacturing equipment.
Read and work from written assembly drawings and diagrams, BOM’s. Read and understand standard and metric tapes and measuring devices. Operate pneumatic hand and bench power tools. Complete mechanical measurement techniques and assembly processes. Advanced understanding of torque requirements on hand tools. Complete assemblies within the standard time and to defined quality levels. Advanced familiarity with drill bit and tap sizes. Advanced understanding of inventory control methods and ability to assist with inventory control of cell.
Strong verbal and written communication skills. Strong attention to detail. Strong PC skills including a “Windows” type operating environment. Strong troubleshooting skills. Strong ability to influence and lead through change management.
