Acutronic is looking for a Mechanical Assembler II to join our team in Pittsburgh, PA. In this role, you will be responsible for assembling mechanical components and parts into a finished product by following detailed instructions, blueprints, and specifications. You will use a variety of hand tools and power tools, ensuring quality control and proper fit throughout the assembly process. Our ideal candidate will have at least two years of relevant mechanical experience. This position offers a world of precision, innovation, and impactful craftsmanship. Mechanical Assembler II

Your Roles/Responsibilities:

  1. Prepare work by studying prints, reviewing parts lists, and gathering parts, tools, and necessary materials.
  2. Assemble and test complex mechanical subassemblies and systems involving many parts; care, alignment, and precision tolerance of parts are critical.
  3. Evaluate the alignment of axes in relation to each other using autocollimators, mirror assemblies, electronic indicators, or alignment telescopes.
  4. Fit and size parts using lathes, milling machines, drill presses, and other machine shop tools.
  5. Clean and prepare parts for finishing, inspect incoming parts for defects.
  6. Assist in packing and shipping equipment to customers.
  7. Perform field service functions on equipment both domestically and internationally.
  8. Perform maintenance on machines and equipment.

Your Profile/Qualifications/Skills:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Technical School or Machining Apprenticeship is desirable.
  • At least two years of mechanical experience is required; three years preferred.
  • Ability to travel for installations and service calls; 10%-15% domestically, occasional international travel.
