Job summary

3M HEALTHCARE is hiring a Mechanical Assembler I at the Foley, AL OEM facility for A320 NEO aircraft technology. You will perform assembly of equipment per engineering specifications, read blueprints, and support continuous improvement initiatives while maintaining a safe, organized workstation.

Expect to lift up to 20 lb, stand up to 8 hours, and follow detailed instructions. You’ll drill holes, install fasteners, rout and trim parts, apply primers and sealants, and participate in inspections.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED or vocational/technical education in related discipline.
  • Ability to read blueprints, diagrams and engineering drawings and assemble equipment.
  • Experience with hand tools, electrical tools, hand cutters and measuring equipment.
  • Self-directed, team oriented and able to resolve questions and problems.
  • Relevant manufacturing, assembly or construction experience.

Position

Mechanical Assembler I – Support Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) facility for A320 NEO aircraft technology. Location: Foley, AL. Shift: 1st Shift (6:30 am – 3 pm), Monday–Friday.


Responsibilities


  • Perform assembly of equipment and products per engineering specifications and changes.

  • Maintain workstations inventory and perform quality checks, identify defects, and record findings.

  • Participate in compliance inspection and continuous improvement (CI) activities.

  • Maintain a clean and safe work area.

  • Drill holes, install fasteners, rout and trim parts, and apply primers and sealants.

  • Follow detailed instructions, lift and carry up to 20 lb, stand up to 8 hr per day.

  • Safely perform other duties as assigned.


Qualifications


  • High school diploma or equivalent (e.g., GED) or vocational/technical education in related discipline.

  • Experience reading and interpreting blueprints, diagrams, and engineering drawings; ability to assemble equipment.

  • Experience with hand tools, electrical tools, hand cutters, measuring equipment, and light equipment.

  • Self‑directed, action‑oriented, capable of working in a team environment, resolving questions and problems.

  • Relevant manufacturing, assembly, and/or construction or facilities experience.
