Position

This position is a member of the Mechanical Assembly Department. The Mechanical Assembler I will report directly to the Mechanical Assembly Supervisor and is primarily responsible for building machines that meet design specifications while maintaining quality and safety standards.

Job Description

Primary Responsibilities

• Interpret blueprints and follow work instructions to build machinery that meets or exceeds design specifications.
• Provide support in other areas of the company as needed (e.g., Warehouse, machine shop, weld shop, saw, and inspection) and assist departments in meeting deadlines during backlog periods.
• Assist manufacturing engineering and mechanical engineering with job time estimates, attend design reviews, and help with print corrections; provide technical support for design reviews.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA guidelines regarding heavy lifting, rigging, and proper use and storage of oils and fluids; maintain a safe and orderly work area.
• Maintain a good attitude, start work on time, work overtime when necessary, perform good housekeeping, communicate with others, be aware of safety in the area, and be a good team member; assist the Painter as needed.

Knowledge, Skills & Experience (Essential)

• Fluency in English.
• Ability to obtain Heavy Lift Certification and Industrial Powered Vehicles License.

• 1‑2 years of mechanical assembly experience required.

• Working knowledge of all Bartell manufacturing processes and technologies.
