SpecSys Inc. in Granite Falls, MN is hiring a Mechanical Assembler to define build sequences and assemble mobile equipment for railway, construction, oil, mining, and more.

This hands-on role requires precise work and the ability to follow detailed drawings and specifications. The position offers a flexible schedule (4x10 shifts and 5x8 shifts) with flexible start times, comprehensive benefits, and opportunities for on-site welding training and certifications through RITALKA University.

Qualifications

• Ability to follow written instructions, blueprints and drawings.
• Math skills to solve problems and verify assemblies.
• Read and understand customer specifications and procedures.
• Lift up to 75 pounds and stand for extended periods.
• Ability to troubleshoot hydraulic and mechanical schematics.

Responsibilities

• Assembles mechanical components into controls of moderate complexity.
• Assembles hydraulic actuators by hand using hand tools.
• Identifies sequence to minimize unproductive time.
• Ensures products meet customer requirements and are tested.
• Coordinates part shortages with purchasing and material handling.
• Aligns work with project manager and ECO changes.
• Provides input to QC process improvements.
