Job summary

PEAK Technical Services Inc. seeks a mechanical assembler in Sunnyvale to read blueprints and assemble products using hand and power tools. Responsibilities

• Assemble products using hand and power tools according to drawings and specs.
• Read blueprints, diagrams, and specifications to guide assembly.
• Apply gluing and sealing with Loctite, epoxy, RTV as required.
• Handle various material sizes and ensure proper rework when needed.
• Perform soldering and assembly of components to VW transducers.
• Conduct quality testing to meet specifications and standards.
• Identify defects and report to appropriate personnel.
• Maintain logs and maintain ESD-sensitive materials/equipment.

Job description

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

• Read, comprehend, interpret, and follow basic blueprints, diagrams, engineering drawings, specifications, and other written instructions to accurately assemble products.
• Perform mechanical assembly using hand tools and power tools.
• Apply gluing and sealing techniques using compounds like Loctite, epoxy, and RTV.
• Handle various sizes of materials, from heavy parts to small intricate ones.
• Perform soldering and assembly of various parts to VW transducers.
• Conduct quality testing and inspection to ensure products meet specifications and quality standards.
• Identify and report product defects to appropriate personnel.
• Rework and repair assembled products according to engineering specification changes.
• Maintain accurate records/logs.
• Handle ESD sensitive materials and equipment.

Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 1-3 years of assembly experience

Other Requirements:

• Ability to follow written and verbal work instructions and blueprints for complex and standard product assembly.
• Ability to maintain equipment and a clean work environment.
• Compliance with all company policies and procedures.
• Willingness to perform other related duties as assigned.
