Mechanical Assembler

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Produces components and finished hydraulic pumps, valves, and motors on various product lines by assembling parts and subassemblies.
• Prepares work by studying parts lists and gathering parts, subassemblies, tools, and materials.
• Reads and interprets schematics, blueprints, and assembly instructions.
• Positions or aligns components and parts manually or with hoists.
• Uses hand tools, assembly fixtures, or power tools to assemble parts.
• Examines connections for correct fit and fastening of parts and subassemblies.
• Resolves assembly issues by notifying supervisors for additional resources.
• Maintains equipment by completing preventive maintenance, troubleshooting malfunctions, and calling for repairs.
• Ensures a safe and clean work environment by following procedures, rules, and regulations.
• Documents actions by completing production and quality forms.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• High school diploma or GED.
• At least 1 year of assembly experience; hydraulic assembly experience is a plus.
• Ability to interpret technical drawings, schematics, and assembly instructions.
• Mechanical aptitude and basic math skills.
