Job summary

Nammo Defense Systems Inc. is seeking a Mechanical Assembler to support 3rd shift operations. You will place parts with precision, operate various equipment, and use hand tools across multiple workstations while maintaining clean, safe conditions.

BATF approval to work with explosive-related products is required. The role demands a high school diploma or GED and reliability to work night shifts. Previous manufacturing experience is preferred, with a commitment to safety and quality in a defense

Qualifications

  • Must be able to read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions.
  • Must be able to arrive on time and maintain a consistent schedule.
  • Excellent team interaction and communication.
  • Must be able to read, write and speak English fluently.
  • Must meet physical demands including moving materials weighing 5–50 lbs.
  • Must be able to obtain BATF approval to engage in certain explosive operations.

Responsibilities

  • Places parts in specific relationship to each other with extreme accuracy.
  • Operates and tends automatic and manual processing equipment.
  • Uses a variety of hand and power tools, jigs and fixtures.
  • Works at different workstations as production needs require.
  • Performs daily housekeeping and cleaning to ensure a safe working condition.
  • Performs general maintenance of equipment as required.
  • Recognizes and reports operational variances as trained.

Job description

Nammo Defense Systems Inc., a defense contractor, manufactures and supports shoulder-fired systems; energetic material solutions such as aircraft emergency escape systems, actuation devices, rocket motors, warheads, medium & large caliber ammunitions, mortar ammunition; and composite solutions including carbon fiber tubes and composite aero-structures.

Must be willing to work 3rd shift - (8pm-6:30am Sun night-Thurs morning)

Primary Responsibilities of a Mechanical Assembler
  • Places parts in specific relationship to each other with extreme accuracy

Experience Required to be a Mechanical Assembler
  • High School diploma or General Education Diploma (GED) is required
  • Experience in manufacturing, assembly, and packaging preferred
  • Ability to obtain/maintain BATF approval to work with our products
Required Skills as a Mechanical Assembler
  • Ability to accurately read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals
  • Ability to be at work on time and on a consistent basis
  • Excellent team interaction and communication is a priority for this role
  • Must be able to read, write and speak English fluently
