Job summary

Nammo Defense Systems Inc. is seeking a Mechanical Assembler in Mesa, AZ. You will place parts with high precision, operate equipment, and use hand and power tools across multiple workstations in a production setting.

The role requires reading and following safety and maintenance instructions, punctuality, and teamwork. Candidates must be able to obtain BATF approval to work with certain energetic materials and meet the physical demands of the job.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Experience in manufacturing, assembly, and packaging preferred.
• Ability to obtain/maintain BATF approval to work with our products.

Responsibilities

• Places parts in specific relationship to each other with extreme accuracy
• Operates and tends automatic and manual processing equipment
• Uses a variety of hand and power tools, jigs and fixtures
• Works at different workstations as production needs require
• Performs general daily housekeeping and cleaning of equipment and area to ensure a safe working condition for all employees
• Performs general maintenance of equipment as required
• Ability to recognize and report all operational variances as trained

Nammo Defense Systems Inc., a defense contractor, manufactures and supports shoulder-fired systems; energetic material solutions such as aircraft emergency escape systems, actuation devices, rocket motors, warheads, medium & large caliber ammunitions, mortar ammunition; and composite solutions including carbon fiber tubes and composite aero-structures.

Primary Responsibilities Of a Mechanical Assembler

• Places parts in specific relationship to each other with extreme accuracy

Experience Required To Be a Mechanical Assembler

Required Skills As a Mechanical Assembler

• Ability to accurately read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals
• Ability to be at work on time and on a consistent basis
• Excellent team interaction and communication is a priority for this role
• Must be able to read, write and speak English fluently
• Ability to meet the physical demands of the job, including the movement of materials weighing 5-50 lbs
• Ability to obtain BATF approval to engage in certain explosive operations
