Job summary

Aerotek is seeking a Mechanical Assembler to build large HVAC and chiller systems used in data centers and critical facilities. You will read blueprints, use hand and power tools, and assemble components with a strong emphasis on safety and quality.

You will work a Monday-Thursday schedule with 3-day weekends, earning $22-$34 per hour. The role offers on-the-job training and opportunities to grow into lead positions.

Qualifications

• Experience in mechanical assembly, troubleshooting, and hands-on work.
• Ability to read blueprints, diagrams, schematics, or work instructions.
• Commitment to quality, safety, and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Assembling HVAC and chiller systems according to blueprints, engineering drawings, and work instructions
• Installing, fitting, and aligning mechanical components and subassemblies
• Using hand tools, power tools, and assembly equipment to complete builds
• Testing, inspecting, and troubleshooting completed units to ensure quality standards
• Learning and performing brazing operations on copper components
• Reading measurements, verifying specifications, and maintaining production accuracy
• Working closely with teammates to meet production goals while maintaining a safe work environment
• Identifying and resolving assembly issues before final product completion
