Job Description

As a Mechanical Assembler you will perform a variety of tasks relating to production operations on electronic and/or mechanical assemblies and subassemblies. Demonstrating professionalism, leadership, and initiative in your daily activities, with excellent inter-personal and communication skills both oral and written, will help you excel in this critical role.



This position is 2nd shift, work hours are on a 9/80 schedule, 2:30pm-12:00am, M-Th, and 2:30-11:00pm every other Friday.



Within this role; you are responsible for:



  • Install, assemble, and inspect electronics per documented work instructions

  • Interpreting Job Routers, written instructions, and schematic drawings for assembly of electronics

  • Performing a variety of inspections with a focus on ensuring assemblies meet/exceed IPC standards

  • Performing pass downs with outgoing/incoming shifts

  • Using hand and/or power tools, and assembly palettes

  • Apply material according to specifications and under simulated conditions

  • Other duties as assigned


Required Qualifications:



  • 3+ years of electronics assembly and/or inspection experience

  • High School Diploma or GED and 2 years related experience

  • Must be able to work a flexible schedule in order to meet production and customer needs

  • Must be able to lift and manipulate up to 25lbs for an extended period of time

  • Knowledge of ESD (Electrostatic discharge) procedures

  • Must be detail oriented and able to multitask


Preferred Qualifications:



  • Knowledge of IPC-610 and J-STD-001 preferred

  • Good written and verbal communication skills

  • Must have meticulous hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity
