Job summary

LINK Staffing in Southwest Houston, TX is seeking a skilled Mechanical Assembler for a full-time, first-shift role. You will read drawings and work instructions to assemble mechanical parts and frames using hand and power tools, with attention to tight tolerances.

You will measure components with calipers and micrometers, verify fit, ensure quality, and document production activity. The position requires lifting up to 50 lbs and adherence to safety procedures.

Qualifications

• Previous mechanical assembly experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings, diagrams, and work instructions.
• Experience using hand tools and power tools.
• Experience using calipers, micrometers, gauges, or similar measuring tools.
• Comfortable working with metric measurements.
• Ability to work accurately with close tolerances.
• Strong attention to detail and quality.
• Basic computer skills.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to stand, bend, reach, and perform repetitive assembly work throughout the shift.

Responsibilities

• Assemble mechanical parts, components, frames, and equipment.
• Follow technical drawings, diagrams, schematics, and work instructions.
• Use hand tools and power tools to fasten, fit, adjust, and install components.
• Measure and verify parts using calipers, micrometers, gauges, and other measuring tools.
• Check alignment, fit, measurements, and overall assembly quality.
• Perform mechanical fit-up and make adjustments as needed.
• Identify and report damaged, defective, or incorrect components.
• Follow established quality and safety procedures.
• Complete production and assembly documentation as required.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.

What You’ll Do

• Assemble mechanical parts, components, frames, and equipment

Preferred Experience

• Knowledge of GD&T is a plus
• Aerospace, automotive, industrial equipment, or similar manufacturing experience
• Vocational or technical training in mechanical assembly or manufacturing is a plus
