Job summary

GE Vernova is seeking a skilled technician to assemble electrical subassemblies for our products, following detailed letters of manufacture, drawings, and superior orientations. The role includes interpreting isolation plans, isolating TCs to oil, and applying insulation to ferrules and tubes.

The candidate will also manufacture the primary TC by cutting copper strips, stacking, insulating, welding posts, and counting turns per the manufacturing chart, while preparing OSKF insulation material

Qualifications

• Experience in electrical subassembly manufacturing preferred.
• Ability to interpret manufacturing letters, drawings and work instructions.

Responsibilities

• Assemble electrical subassemblies according to letters of manufacture, drawings, and orientations.
• Interpret isolation plans and work instructions.
• Isolate current transformers (TCs) to oil following norms; coat ferrule and low voltage tube with insulation papers.
• Manufacture primary TC: cut copper strips, stack, insulate, weld posts, and wind turns per chart.
• Prepare OSKF insulation material per process standards.
• Use measuring instruments to verify dimensions during insulation.

Job Description

• Assist in the accomplishment of the activities related to the assembly of equipment, following letter of manufacture, drawings and superior orientations;
• Make interpretation of isolation plans and work instructions;
• Perform the isolation of the TCs to oil, following norms and letters of manufacture, coating the ferrule and low voltage tube with insulation papers;
• Perform the manufacture of the primary TC, following norms and letter of manufacture, cutting copper strips, laying them one on top of the other, coating them with insulating material, welding the posts and effecting the number of turns according to the manufacturing chart;
• Conduct the preparation of OSKF insulation material by bonding according to process standards;
• Make use of measuring instruments to accompany the dimensional throughout the insulation process.
