Job summary

Graham Engineering is hiring a Mechanical Assembler in York, PA. The role offers a pay rate of $28.00 – $34.00 per hour with a Monday–Friday schedule (6 AM – 2 PM or 7 AM – 3 PM). You will assemble quality products using hand tools and detailed work instructions while helping keep production running efficiently.

The position requires a high school diploma or GED, plus technical training in electrical assembly or related field, and 3–5 years of relevant experience. Overtime work may be required.

Responsibilities

• Assemble and install mechanical and electrical components according to specs.
• Read and interpret blueprints and schematics to ensure accurate assembly.
• Perform precision assembly tasks including layout, alignment, and drive systems.
• Assist with equipment startup, testing, troubleshooting, repairs, and rebuilds.
• Operate material-handling equipment safely and efficiently.
• Inspect assemblies for quality and compliance with specifications.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Project Management, Production, and Field Service.
• Maintain organized work area and follow safety policies.
• Perform additional production and assembly duties as needed.

Education Requirements

• Ability to lift, position, and install mechanical and electrical components.


• Capable of safely operating forklifts, overhead cranes, and other material-handling equipment.


• Ability to work in an industrial manufacturing environment while following all safety requirements.


• Manual dexterity required for assembly, alignment, and installation of components and systems.

Job Duties

• Assemble and install mechanical and electrical components, equipment, and subassemblies according to engineering specifications and production requirements.


• Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, schematics, and work instructions to ensure accurate assembly.


• Perform precision assembly tasks including component layout, alignment, positioning, drive systems, chains, belts, gears, and related equipment.


• Assist with equipment startup, testing, troubleshooting, repairs, and rebuild projects.


• Operate forklifts, powered industrial trucks, overhead cranes, and other material-handling equipment safely and efficiently.


• Inspect completed assemblies to verify quality, functionality, and compliance with specifications.


• Identify and communicate equipment, tooling, maintenance, safety, or assembly concerns.


• Collaborate with Engineering, Project Management, Production, and Field Service teams to meet quality and production goals.


• Maintain an organized work area and follow all company safety policies and procedures.


• Perform additional production and assembly duties as assigned.
