Job description: The Mechanical Assembler will take an active role in the mechanical coupling and assembly operations in the production processes. Operates machine to connect metal couplings to pipes, sets tightening mechanism on machine to correspond to specified numbers of turns, places coupling into machine, starts machine that connects and tightens coupling to pipe, stops machine and ejects pipe, may also tighten couplings manually when machine malfunctions, and may keep production records.

Job responsibilities

• Making the generator groups ready by performing mechanical assembly operations.
• Carrying out work in accordance with the information in the work order.
• Installing engine, alternator, record, etc., into production and performing visual checks, notifying the supervisor as needed.
• Processing production data entries to the relevant system.
• Filling in the relevant fields of the production identification cards so that the work can be followed easily and accurately.
• Notifying the manager of the materials that need to be returned to the warehouse within the production area.
• Performing basic selection and maintenance of special machine tools such as drills, jigs, mills, lathes, and fixtures.
• Complying with the Quality, Environment and OSHA rules in the enterprise.
• Participating in training organizations conducted when needed.
• Being obliged to comply with all kinds of precautions and rules regarding Occupational Health and Safety.
• Sharing opinions, complaints and suggestions about Workplace, OSHA, Environment and Quality with the department manager.
• Identifying risks and opportunities in Quality Assurance, Environment and OHS Management Systems and taking part in risk reduction studies.
• Using the work area clean and orderly during production.
• Fulfilling every task given by the manager in line with the production targets.
• Following the planned deadlines.

Requirements

• Min. High School Diploma.
• Driver’s License.
• 1+ years’ experience with power and control circuit materials.
• Ability to lift and move up to 75 lbs. periodically during shift when necessary.
• Good verbal, reading, writing, and comprehension skills.
• Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables where only limited standardization exists.
• Must be able to lift 50 lbs. continuously.
