Job summary

IQ Resource Group, Inc. in Sheboygan is seeking Mechanical Assemblers to produce and assemble machine parts according to specifications. The role requires reading blueprints and following shop orders to build parts accurately and on schedule.

You will measure components with precision tools, operate basic machine tools, and assist with welding and plasma cutting as needed. Training provided for overhead crane and forklift operations; strong attention to quality is essential.

Qualifications

• Requires High School diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to perform metric conversions and basic math.
• Ability to read and understand blueprints and manufacturing instructions.
• Ability to use hand tools and machine tools (drill press, band saw, cut-off saw, grinder).
• Good oral and written communication skills.
• Basic knowledge of carpentry and pneumatics is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Read and follow blueprints, shop orders, and specifications to assemble parts and equipment accurately and timely.
• Measure parts with scales, micrometers, and calipers.
• Operate overhead crane and fork trucks during movement and assembly.
• Maintain clean work area and prepare parts for painting.
• Assemble simple to moderately complex assemblies; operate lathe and milling equipment as needed.
• Perform welding operations and plasma cutting as required.

Job description

IQ Resource Group in Sheboygan is seeking Mechanical Assemblers. You will be responsible for producing and assembling machine(s) and machine parts according to specifications.

Location: Sheboygan Falls, WI

Wage: $22-24/hr

Hours

• 6am-2:30pm M-F
• 2pm-10pm M-F

Responsibilities

• Reads and follows blueprints, shop orders, specifications and other instructions in order to build and assemble parts and equipment in an accurate and timely fashion.
• Measures parts accurately using scales, micrometers and calipers.
• Operates overhead crane and fork trucks while moving or assembling product.
• Cleans work area.
• Prepares parts for painting.
• Assembles simple to moderately complex assemblies.
• Operates lathe and milling equipment.
• Does welding operations and plasma cutting as necessary.

Qualification Requirements

• Requires education generally equivalent to a High School diploma.
• Requires mathematical skills that require the ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide, and to make metric system conversions.
• Must have the ability to read and understand blueprints and other manufacturing instructions.
• Must have the knowledge and ability to use hand tools and machine tools such as drill press, band saw, cut-off saw and grinder.
• Requires good oral and written communication skills in order to interact with employees.
• Basic knowledge of carpentry and pneumatics a plus.
