Job summary

Mechanical Assembly & Testing Opportunity – WoodwardContract up to December 2027 (1.3 years)Join a leading aerospace manufacturer and put your mechanical assembly and testing skills to work.Woodward is looking for experienced mechanical assemblers to join its team in Santa Clarita, CA, working on precision hydro-mechanical assemblies used in demanding applications where safety, reliability and quality are essential.This is an excellent opportunity for hands-on professionals with experience in mechanical assembly, hydraulic systems and testing. Aerospace experience is highly desirable, but candidates from automotive or other relevant technical environments are also encouraged to apply.What you’ll be doing as a Mechanical Assembler:Assembling hydro-mechanical components and equipment in line with engineering specifications.Performing pressure testing and functional testing on hydraulic assemblies.Following acceptance test procedures to ensure products meet required performance and quality standards.Identifying and troubleshooting issues during assembly and testing.Inspecting components and completed assemblies to ensure accuracy, reliability and compliance with specifications.What we’re looking for in the Mechanical Assembler:At least 3 years of relevant mechanical assembly and testing experience.Experience assembling and testing mechanical or hydraulic equipment.Ability to read, interpret and follow acceptance test procedures and technical documentation.Experience performing pressure testing and functional testing.Aerospace hydraulic experience, including exposure to red oil or Skydrol, is highly desirable.Automotive experience is also welcome, particularly where it involves hydraulic systems, mechanical assembly or testing.What Woodward offers for the Mechanical Assembler:Competitive pay: $26.88–$41.76 per hour, depending on experience and skill level.Regular overtime opportunities: Earn time and a half.Shift differentials: Additional $1.50 per hour for second shift or $1.75 per hour for third shift.Consistent schedules: Second shift, Monday–Friday, 3:30 p.m.–midnight; or third shift, Sunday–Thursday, 11 p.m.–7 a.m.Initial training: Three weeks on first shift, Monday–Friday, 7 a.m.–3:30 p.m.Contract through December 2027: A chance to develop your experience with an established aerospace manufacturing business.If you would like to hear more, please reach out to Rabeel Imrane, [e-mail], [phone]You should be proficient in:Hydraulics ExperienceHydraulic Systems & Componentsredoilskydroilskydrol
