Position Summary
Perform moderately complex and intricate assembly operations of catalog transmission offerings (Ultramax) under direct supervision.
Responsibilities
- Assemble and adjust various types and styles of Ultramax products from start to finish.
- Test completed units and inspect parts for quality.
- Prepare units for shipping with proper documentation.
- Use a spot welding machine.
- Perform activities planned by others.
- Communicate internally with contacts outside the work group to exchange work related information.
- Maintain a clean and safe workplace in accordance with Regal Rexnord policies, 5S procedures, and in line with Rexnord core values.
- Perform other duties as required.
Experience and Skill Required
- 1-2 years of experience in assembly; high school diploma or equivalent an plus.
- Effectively communicate and work in a team environment.
- Accurately read and comprehend material such as blueprints, work instructions, routings, OMS sheets, measuring equipment, etc.
- Ability to write to record basic information.
- Knowledge of and ability to compute basic arithmetic.
- Knowledge of and ability to use air tools, power tools, and hand tools.
- Manual dexterity.
- Ability to carry out tasks that require a sequence of steps usually performed in a particular order.
- Knowledge of and ability to solve problems in situations where most problems have occurred before. Solutions are familiar and based on past practices.
