Job Description

This job involves the mechanical assembly of industrial equipment. An assembler should be a people person who can work well with a team and collaborate with other departments. Common responsibilities include:

• Follow technical instructions, interpret engineering blueprints, and technical terms.
• Discern the quality of parts and materials used in production.
• Inventory parts and tools used in the assembling process.
• Follow company procedures and directives.
• Test finished products for defects.
• Maintain tools used to create products.
• Keep a clean and well-maintained workspace.
• * Perform incoming inspections with appropriate equipment.
• * Communicate with purchasing on discrepancies and facilitate returns and replacements, properly mark and record reject materials.

Minimum requirements include:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Strong mechanical skills and electrical aptitude (a plus)
• Ability to read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and technical drawings
• Experience installing mechanical components and piping
• Exceptional work ethic, can-do attitude, and team spirit
• Willingness to adhere to all company policies, including safety procedures
• Willingness to learn, understand, and support the company's quality objectives
• Effective communication skills with customers, vendors, and colleagues
• Ability to work independently with minimal instruction or supervision, and to plan, organize, and execute activities
• Ability to lift and move up to 40 lbs.; excellent visual acuity
