Job Description
This job involves the mechanical assembly of industrial equipment. An assembler should be a people person who can work well with a team and collaborate with other departments. Common responsibilities include:
- Follow technical instructions, interpret engineering blueprints, and technical terms.
- Discern the quality of parts and materials used in production.
- Inventory parts and tools used in the assembling process.
- Follow company procedures and directives.
- Test finished products for defects.
- Maintain tools used to create products.
- Keep a clean and well-maintained workspace.
- * Perform incoming inspections with appropriate equipment.
- * Communicate with purchasing on discrepancies and facilitate returns and replacements, properly mark and record reject materials.
Minimum requirements include:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Strong mechanical skills and electrical aptitude (a plus)
- Ability to read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and technical drawings
- Experience installing mechanical components and piping
- Exceptional work ethic, can-do attitude, and team spirit
- Willingness to adhere to all company policies, including safety procedures
- Willingness to learn, understand, and support the company's quality objectives
- Effective communication skills with customers, vendors, and colleagues
- Ability to work independently with minimal instruction or supervision, and to plan, organize, and execute activities
- Ability to lift and move up to 40 lbs.; excellent visual acuity
- Flexibility and adaptability; ability to work under pressure and in changing environments
- Willingness to wear necessary personal protective equipment
- Willingness to cross-train as needed
