Job summary

Hire Up Staffing Services seeks a skilled Mechanical Assembler to join our manufacturing team supporting high-precision microwave heating systems and other high-tech equipment. You will assemble components, read engineering drawings, and ensure quality throughout the build.

Responsibilities include using hand and power tools, verifying dimensions, and collaborating with engineering and production teams to resolve issues. Attention to detail, safety, and documentation are essential for success.

Responsibilities

  • Assemble mechanical components, subassemblies, and finished microwave heating equipment using engineering drawings, bills of materials, and work instructions.
  • Install and secure brackets, enclosures, panels, hardware, ducting, cooling systems, waveguide-related assemblies, and other mechanical components.
  • Use hand tools, power tools, torque tools, drills, presses, and other shop equipment as required.
  • Read and interpret mechanical drawings, assembly drawings, schematics, bills of materials, and dimensional specifications.
  • Measure and verify components using calipers, micrometers, tape measures, gauges, and other inspection equipment.
  • Perform drilling, tapping, fastening, fitting, alignment, and other mechanical fabrication and assembly operations.
  • Ensure proper component alignment, fit, torque, clearances, and installation.
  • Carefully inspect completed work for workmanship, accuracy, and compliance with specifications.
  • Identify damaged, defective, or nonconforming components and communicate issues to supervisors, engineering, or quality personnel.
  • Perform basic troubleshooting and adjustments during assembly and equipment build.
  • Work closely with engineering, electrical assembly, welding/fabrication, quality, and production teams to resolve assembly issues.
  • Maintain accurate production and quality documentation.
  • Follow all established manufacturing procedures, safety requirements, and quality standards.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
  • Support continuous-improvement activities focused on product quality, assembly efficiency, and manufacturing processes.
  • Take personal ownership of the quality and workmanship of every assembly.
  • Understand that completing the job correctly is more important than simply completing it quickly.

Job description

Mechanical Assembler Hire Up Staffing is seeking a skilled and detail‑oriented Mechanical Assembler to join a manufacturing team supporting the production of industrial microwave heating systems and other high‑technology equipment.

Pay: $22.00 per hour DOE (depending on experience) Wiring experience is preferred and may qualify for higher pay.

Employment Type: Full Time

Classification: Non‑Exempt

Schedule: Monday–Friday, with a start time between 6:00 AM and 7:30 AM. Some overtime and/or weekend work may be requested as needed to meet delivery schedules.

Position Summary

The Mechanical Assembler will be responsible for assembling mechanical components, subassemblies, and complete systems according to engineering drawings, specifications, work instructions, and established quality standards. The products support high‑tech customers who depend on precision, reliability, and consistent performance. Safety and quality are the highest priorities. The successful candidate will take personal ownership of their work, follow established procedures, pay close attention to detail, and communicate concerns when something does not look or feel right.

Essential Responsibilities
  • Assemble mechanical components, subassemblies, and finished microwave heating equipment using engineering drawings, bills of materials, and work instructions.
  • Install and secure brackets, enclosures, panels, hardware, ducting, cooling systems, waveguide‑related assemblies, and other mechanical components.
  • Use hand tools, power tools, torque tools, drills, presses, and other shop equipment as required.

  • Experience using hand tools, power tools, torque tools, drills, presses, and measuring equipment.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
  • Ability to perform accurate measuring, fitting, drilling, tapping, fastening, and alignment.
  • Basic troubleshooting and problem‑solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and as part of a team.
  • Ability to communicate quality or assembly concerns clearly and professionally.
